After two years we finally get the second Fantastic Beasts movie.
16th Nov 2018.
I marked my calendar ever since I knew about the date and started jio-ing my friends to watch with me since the semester starts hahahhaa (Yes I’m super excited!!!).
With dissertation going on, the workload for Year 3 students is so much more compared to Year 2, with several presentations and assignment deadlines continuously.
We went to watch the movie anyway. (Stress relief session
Locking ourselves inside our room stressing about our dissertation and assignments is so depressing, so we went to library most of the time
Jasmine even bought some of her elder brother’s board games for us and offer the fetch us out to Broga / Semenyih town for dinner. She’s the only one in our gang with a car anyway. Normally we’ll spent Tuesday night inside her room playing boardgames / gossiping / discussing about our dissertation.
3/4 of us get the same supervisor *cough cough* Yup we choose the only lecturer that had never taught us before to try our luck as the popular lecturer probably only accept first class students.
In the end Jo Ann didn’t went because she wanted to finish her application for Masters, but I jio Zulaikha. Yup, she’s the one who went for student exchange in Canada for whole Year 2 and came to visit me in UK. She stopped at UK to travel for a while during her trip back to Malaysia and told me she brought lots of Harry Potter stuffs for herself and her siblings so I guess she’ll be interested in the movie (〜￣▽￣)〜
Back to the movie. We planned to go further but we’ve got extra class so in the end we went to IOI city mall.

I got so many “best day in my life” (ﾉﾟ▽ﾟ)ﾉ
The movie started with Grindelwald escaping MACUSA. I know it’s just a small detail but I was kinda annoyed by the fact that they call it “American Ministry of Magic” instead of MACUSA. And instead of giving it a name they just call the French Ministry of Magic “French Ministry of Magic”. Why???
I hoped JK Rowling will not write a Newt x Tina x Leta love triangle after watching FBaWTFT and THANK YOU she didn’t!!!! There’s some Newt x Theseus x Leta scenes but I don’t think it’ll be counted as a love triangle as Newt is 100% head over heels for Tina hahaha.

There’s quite a number of new characters in this movie. The first movie is the introduction while Crimes of Grindelwald (CoG) is more about world building, so nope, it is not really a stand-alone story. The story ended with more questions than before. I feel that it would be better if the story is in novel 500+ pages novel form instead of a movie. It feels like JK Rowling cramped too many stuff inside it. Well maybe it's just because I’m just a nerd hoping for a new HP book lol. But we wouldn’t get the graphics of magical beasts if it’s in a book form adfgjfdksla
By the way I don’t really buy the reveal of Credence’s identity. Another Dumbledore? Serious??? The books stated that Dumbledore only has a younger brother and sister. Guess that it’s just another lie Grindelwald tell Credence.
Things I like about CoG:
HOGWARTS
The moment Hedwig’s Theme played I went into full fangirl mode ヾ(*´∇`)ﾉ
The movie explained the why the trailer shows Dumbledore teaching Defence Against Dark Arts instead of Transfiguration. Good one. But I dislike the fact that they put Prof. McGonagall inside the movie for the sake of fanservice. According to the timeline McGonagall wasn’t even born yet?!?! And Prof. McGonagall isn't even relevant to the story adfghflds
Newt’s apartment
They moved the original idea of Newt’s suitcase into his apartment.
Yes this is part is IN HIS APARTMENT. COOL
Imagine his house in Dorset after he married Tina. There’ll probably be dragons flying around.
There’s a Newt’s shirtless scene that got cut in the first movie but we got

Dumbledore x Grindelwald
Well I didn’t really have feelings about this but this movie turned one of my friends into Grindledore shipper lol
The bromance (?) is strong

Saw this ages ago:
Queenie turned into sinnamon roll in CoG to fight for what she loves. It makes her more relatable to some. Some, not me. I will never go to that extend tho it’s too toxic. But Jacob is still a cinnamon roll who can expertly make cinnamon rolls. His reaction while watching Newt using magic is as funny as usual~

Theseus’ hugs
TBH I feel like Theseus cares a lot about Newt as a big bro (awww I always wanted a gor gor) but Newt is the one pushing him away “We have a rather complicated relationship” It’s just that the way Theseus care about him isn’t what Newt wants.
But Newt hugged him back after they successfully stopped Grindelwald’s magic from destroying Paris.
Now I need a hug too.

The applause when the movie ended.
A few groups of friends (including us) discussing about the plot inside the cinema after the revelation of Credence's identity. You can actually pinpoint which one is the Potterhead inside the groups of friends.
Overhearing a parent persuading their child to read Harry Potter.
Overhearing children persuading their parents to buy Harry Potter books for them.
This story wouldn't end in a short while. ♥
